Dear Partners,
Happy Chinese New Year!
We’re grateful that you have been praying and supporting our ministry in China for so many years. Now we are moving our Mission Bible Seminary to Thailand where we can continue to train China m*ssionaries and local Thailand ministry workers. We will be sending them all over South East Asia countries as well as back to China mainland.
The reason that we have decided to move to Thailand for our training program is because the religious environment inside China has changed rapidly in the past decade. Over 7000 crosses are taken down by force by the Chinese government. These crosses not only belonged to the Christian house churches but also the Three Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) churches, and the Catholic Churches of Catholic Patriotic Association (CPA). Many of these churches are forced to shut down. Hundred of pastors and priests are detained and arrested. Our Bible School and our students’ house churches are being monitored by the government; and even our leadership training websites. With this condition, in 2023 our board members have decided to move our M*ssion Bible School (MBS) and our m*ssionaries training program to Thailand.
Last year end, we have rented a campus with seven wood buildings of about 4600 square meters in northern Thailand which can house about 50 students and 10 staff members. In this late summer we will recruit 15 t0 20 students from Thailand to be our Bible students.
We are hosting 8 China students studying in Thailand. They are preparing themselves to study in Thailand Universities. During their spare time of studying English, we are training them mission and ministry skills. When they return to China after graduation, they can be full time or bi-vocational missionaries to their home country.
In 2023, we have networked with the local Thailand Life Church to set up a Foundation and a Bible School students recruitment program in the city of Chiangmai. Twelve months ago, we have sent Pastor Lee from China to work with Pastor Xia of the Chiangmai Life Church. Pastor Xia is a local Chinese Thai pastor who has immigrated to Thailand from China since childhood. He can speak both Mandarin Chinese and the Thai language fluently. Besides Pastor Lee and his wife, we are recruiting 3 more staff teachers in the Thailand Mission Bible School.
Next year, we will build a vocational training center to train ministry workers to go to Closed Access countries such as the communist and Muslim nations. They will acquire a skill such as hair dressing, water engineering, bakery and coffee making. This vocational center will need a separate group of skill staff and teachers.
In the past two decades, with the help of our board members and the Quality of Life Factory Association, we have led over 40,000 China factory workers and staff to Christ. Also our M*ssion Bible Seminary (MBS) has trained 112 students in the mainland. Some of them went back to work life ministry. Some of them became full time pastors and church planters. Together we have planted 8 churches in China: 5 in Guangdong Province, 2 in Henan Province, 1 in Fujian Province.
Currently we need to raise funds to renovate our campus, train teaching staffs, buy furnitures and teaching equipment. For donations, please see the instructions below this letter.
