Your Life & Career Vision Statements

“When you think, focus and then believe and then believe, everything inside you shifts. You’ll break through all the chaos and confusion. A feeling of order, purpose and intention takes over. And achieving your goals and dreams turns from frustration to peace, from confusion to exultation.” - Bob Proctor

When I was 15 years old, my mom sent me to a British Army Youth Camp for training in Hong Kong. It was the most difficult two weeks of my life. Every morning we would wake up at 5:00 am and then ran and climbed up the hills for at least two hours. Then we had our breakfast. The key part of the training was overcoming fear, concentrated our mind and then focused. The army tied a steel rope on top of the hill and hang it all the way to the bottom. We had to climb up to the tower where the rope was and hang ourselves on the rope with a safety belt. There was a safety net at the end of the rope down at the bottom of the hill. We supposed to glide from the top of the hill and land our back on the net below. It was a full 2 minutes glide. Before we hit the bottom, we had to turn our back to hit the net. Otherwise our face would hit the net and it was painful. I didn’t focus and turned my body at the last second when I hit the net, my nose hit it and it was quite painful. We all tried it for several run and most of the trainees did focus and turn their back towards the net at the right moment. Then, I told my mind to stay focus, concentrate and turned my back at the last second and finally succeeded in landing on the net on my back.

Life coach Bob Proctor said, “When you think, focus and then believe and then believe, everything inside you shifts. You’ll break through all the chaos and confusion. A feeling of order, purpose and intention takes over. And achieving your goals and dreams turns from frustration to peace, from confusion to exultation.” 1 In the 1984 Olympic Games that was held in Los Angeles, USA, the US planning committee wanted to show the national bird of America which is the bald eagle to fly high from the sky and then land on the middle of the Olympic Square right next to the Olympic fire. But the bald eagle was an endangered specie that they could not find even one flying in the desert. The only one they could find alive was locked up in the cage of a zoo for years. The trainer tried to train this locked-up eagle to fly. However, this locked-up eagle was in the cage for so many years that it had already lost its ability to fly. The trainer tried again and again to push it to fly higher but failed again and again so many times. The eagle finally died because the pressure was too much to bear. We lost our ability and instinct to fly because we have locked up our mind in a cage of fear. Take courage, either you think positive out of courage or negative out of fear. It is your choice. Our mind has a higher and infinite creative capacity to do the impossible. You just need to focus.
